Yesterday I heard on the radio that nowadays, young people are more specific towards the internet, especially with Youtube. The internet has matured, and we can find almost about anything.

Undoubtedly, there are a lot of demand, and it’s growing fast. Content creator are challenged to be more creative, to cater everyone’s thirst for the answer of the digital world.

Demand and supply keep on growing, and there are no sign of stopping. It seems like there are no questions left unanswered, we feel invincible, with google, tokopedia, gojek, and anteraja as our safety blanket.

I argue that sometimes, we take the analog world for granted. I don’t want to be a hypocrite, but we humans survived for at least thousands of years without the net. There is life before google and smartphone, and it’s not a crime to want to this social media craze to take a step down.

We can lean more on the people around us, our family, neighbor, or friends. Maybe ask your mother first about that funny mole you have under your armpit before throwing yourself in reddit forums. Check on your grandma’s hobby and try knitting or gardening.

It’s easier said than done, but there is no harm in trying. We are responsible not only for our own life, but also the people around us. I hope to be a dependable person that can give a shoulder to cry on, or give reassuring answer, not losing to my digital rivals.
